Here it is! Jeremy's latest and greatest accomplishment! As promised, here's a picture of his sandbox he made. It is big, 6' x 6, enough to get several kids dirty at one time. The girls LOVE it. So do their friends, the jury is out whether all the moms like it though. My girls love taking the buckets of sand and dumping it on their heads. Why they can't just make sand castles instead of exfoliating their scalps, I will never know, but they are having a blast with it.
Makayla had her first sleepover. Lorien came over while her Mommy, Daddy, and baby sister were in the hospital. (McCall had a healthy baby girl, Adelyne, last Friday.) We had so much fun! The girls played really well considering it was raining all weekend and didn't get to go outside very often. They helped me make chocolate chip cookies, we had a dance party, ate yummy pizza, and made cards for Lorien's new sister. What a fun weekend!
The girls had their first caving experience. Yeah, it was traumatic. We went with the Larsens today to the Lava Caves, just north of Flagstaff. The girls were happy and excited to be out on an excursion, until we started going into the cave. That is when they cried, screamed, moaned, and groaned until we decided to go back out. That's when they cried, screamed, cried and screamed until we were completely out and on the trail again. Guess we won't be going spelunking again anytime soon. Makayla fell asleep in the van on the way home and when we pulled into the driveway she woke up long enough to say, "I don't go back to the cave, ok?" No, Makayla we won't take you back there until you are able to stifle your screams.
